It’s been a good year.
We don’t believe in credit cards. We believe in authorization and in lower cost transfers. Our generation actually understands that when you buy sh*t, it comes out of your bank account and you have to pay for that.

Shout-out to any SAS alums out there in the tumblr world. The last voyage shot this “seadub”-directed by Andrew Centofante-of the whole ship. Question to the talent…why didn’t you call this a shipdub?! The pun was right there for you to take! Great job though. We’re big fans of any and all cheesy lip-dubs, especially ones that send us stumbling down memory lane.
Memories
So long, old friend.
Seems like it was getting increasingly difficult for the theater to operate, with Arclight now premiering many of the same indie films about a mile down the road. Still, Sundance Kabuki is going to take over the old Sunset 5 space in Spring 2012.
Sad. My first internship in LA was in that complex and I’d see movies there alone after work there all the time.

“Inside Out” can be thought of either as an extreme diminishment of artistic ego or as a celebration of it, with the artist’s brand propagated by many clones. When I first met JR, I observed that, no matter what the participants did, their images would still register as his art. “I do put a frame around it,” he acknowledged. “I mean, people send me their dogs and cats to print, and, no, that’s out of the project. But imagine: You go to North Dakota and you look at a pasting. You ask, ‘Who did that?’ The people there are going to say, ‘We took the pictures. We did the pasting.’”
